Cooperation among churches joining with others around the world |
| denominational affairs Linking hands, The Denominational Affairs Committee
acts as a liaison between the UU Church of Greater Bridgeport and the
Unitarian Universalist Association and its various affiliates. Committee
members report to the congregation on the activities of the UUA and
its affiliate groups. They also help facilitate cooperation between
the church and those umbrella groups, including the Clara Barton District.
Anyone interested in taking part is urged to attend meetings of the committee. General Assembly Each year the most widely attended denominational
meeting is General Assembly, where the future direction and administration
of the UUA is decided.
At this year's General Assembly, a number of resolutions were entertained, copies of which are published at the UUA website and can be obtained, as available, from the Denominational Affairs Committee. Anyone interested in attending next year's GA, as a delegate or an observer, is urged to contact the chairperson of the committee. |
