AND SERVICES
April 27th When the Spirit Says Do Abby Ott, Ellen Hardy and Tom Coakley with the support of the Thursday Unity Circle As we look to reinvigorate the life of the church, we will be exploring a model of empowering people to follow their own passions, and do what is meaningful for themselves in relationship to UUCGB. May 4 Youth Sunday- Senior Youth Group Each year our Senior Youth Goup combines their talents to lead a worship service for the whole church community. This service provides the congregation an opportunity to see and hear our youth as they express the importance of Unitarian Universalism in their lives. For many, this service is a high point in the church year! May 11 Music Sunday with special guest Nick Page Believing that there should be no separation between the talented and the untalented, Nick Page makes his living as a song leader. He works with children who have an inborn love of singing and he works with adults, many of whom lost their love of singing a long time ago. Our guest, Nick Page, is a song leader, composer, and writer who is dedicated to teaching people of all ages that they are capable of great miracles through the simple, yet powerful, act of singing. He holds a degree in Music Education from Ithaca College and a Masters in Education from Lesley College. He leads sings and workshops throughout North America. Nick has led the Unitarian Universalist Association’s General Assembly in singing as well as directing the first UUA General Assembly Children’s Choir. Nick is currently working with the Fairfield County Youth Choir, and several schools throughout the area. May 18—Ann Pandya May 25—Death and Dying Rev. Julie-Ann and Worship Weaver, Dr. Jamie Johnson As we honor those who gave their lives in service to our country this Memorial Day, we look at ways in which our culture and others have honored and remembered their dead. simply a lack of light. You cannot cause a shadow to disappear by trying to
fight it, stamp on it, by railing against it, or any other form of emotional
or physical resistance. In order to cause a shadow to disappear, you must
shine light on it. I would rather face terrorists than live in a nation without liberty. Time flies like an arrow.
